Who's Important to You? (Hint: It's Not Just the Customer)
How many audiences does your business or organization speak to? If you think it’s just one or two, you need to think again.
Audiences come in all shapes, sizes and demographics. Your primary audience may be ‘the customer’ but even that audience will be made up of segments: industries, geographic location, use of your product or service.
No matter what business you are in, your employees must ALWAYS be a primary audience for you. Why is that? Because your business is not just you ... it's everybody your customer interacts with on a regular basis. No business is successful that doesn’t focus on employee relations.
And what about all those other audiences you need to speak to? Depending on what type of business or organization you have, VIP audiences may be donors, contractors, regulators, vendors, legislators, partners, financial groups … the list can go on and on.
Only you can provide those answers. But you need to know, to make sure you are communicating with everybody who is important to making your business or organization successful.
